An AI agent can carry out several steps with tools: retrieve documents, prepare a draft and suggest a next action. Its value depends on the task, available access and the quality of the checks. A regular assistant conversation is often enough for a one-off request.
Start with a recurring task
List what you repeat each week. For each task, record the information required, the expected result and possible errors. Preparing a summary from your notes is an easier starting point to supervise than automatically publishing across every channel.
Provide usable context
Prepare a folder containing the intended audience, terminology, approved examples and permitted sources. Separate confirmed facts from assumptions. Ask the agent to flag missing information rather than fill gaps with invented figures or testimonials.
Define approval points
- Reading: the agent can consult authorized documents.
- Proposal: it prepares a draft and identifies its sources.
- External action: you approve a publication, message or expense before it happens.
Measure whether it helps
Test the same process with and without the agent. Compare total time, including corrections, and the quality of the result. Keep an error log and a manual fallback. Automation is useful when it simplifies real work and remains easy to check.
