A useful ebook answers a specific question and helps the reader do something. Before writing, describe the reader, their difficulty and the outcome the book should help them reach. “Prepare your first freelance quote” gives a clearer scope than “Succeed in business.”
Build a plan around the reader’s work
Start with the steps the reader needs to follow. Give each chapter an explanation, an example and an action. Match the length to the subject and chosen format: a high page count does not demonstrate value.
Draft, then revise
Give the AI your notes and sources you have checked. Review names, calculations and factual claims. Replace vague introductions with concrete situations. Remove repetition and clearly label every fictional example.
Make the layout readable
Choose a template that suits the subject. Check heading hierarchy, contrast, page breaks and image placement. Open the exported PDF on both a phone and a computer. A cover should communicate the contents through a readable title and a relevant visual, without promising an outcome the book does not support.
Prepare the sale
Describe the contents, delivered format, intended audience and product limitations. Set a price that accounts for your work, costs and alternatives. Test payment and download delivery. After the first orders, record real questions and improve the product. Fees, refunds and taxes belong in your margin calculation.
